Bhutanese stories shared
Stories of migration are shared in The Remarkable Threads of Life, an extraordinary new book written by students, parents and grandparents from Murray High School, Albury.
“The Remarkable Threads of Life is an honest storybook of fond memories, miseries and hope from those who’ve been on an extraordinary life journey. The stories encompass the sentiments of eviction from our country Bhutan, the long and hideous albeit resourceful life in the refugee camp in Nepal and the optimism and positivity we have of our newly adopted country Australia. It is a celebration of triumph for both the storytellers and all Australians who’ve generously welcomed us to this wonderful nation.” Ram C. Khanal
180 community members celebrated the launch of the book at the Albury LibraryMuseum on May 12, 2016.
